Over the past 30+ years, Linda has taught in both public and private institutions and offered individual tutoring. She homeschooled her own five children from 1987-2010. During their early years of homeschooling, she was active in co-op teaching. She taught English literature and history at Westminster in 1995 and 1997, then she began teaching classes from her home. She owned and operated a small homeschool business, Best Picks, from 1992–2002, providing materials and curriculum consulting for homeschooling families. She returned to Westminster to teach English from 2006-2013. She continues to love reading, teaching, and spending time with grandchildren – 11 so far.
The gift of language is a precious thing; it allows us to commune with both God and people. Developing that gift also allows us to think more clearly and share truth more effectively. To that end, I’m committed to enthusiastic excellence in all my classes. What a privilege we have as homeschoolers to foster a love for words and, more importantly, the Word in our daily interactions with our children and young people!
